Weight Loss

The concept is pretty simple. Many people say they have tried every diet and all those diets failed. I truly believe in most cases, I say most because there are medical conditions that affect one’s ability to metabolize food properly, can make you extremely hungry, almost uncontrollably so, that keep some completely or partially immobile and therefore, they are only able to expend very little energy and I am sure a host of other conditions, however, the majority of overweight people do not suffer from these conditions or suffer from conditions that affect, but do not completely prevent, their ability to lose weight.

Is it more difficult for some? Yes, I adamantly believe this to be so, but the main reason most don’t lose weight is because they don’t eat less than they burn up in a day. Plain and simple. For whatever reason. Maybe your diet is not controlling your appetite as you think it should be and that is how you came to the conclusion the diet did not work, but maybe, just maybe, its you. Maybe you need to make a decision to follow a diet and/or exercise program and stick to it.

You’ve tried every diet and none of them work, or you may need to re-evaluate how your looking at and going into these diets. No diet does all the work for you. You have to make that decision, actually decide to do it and then no matter what make sure you do.

Get rid of the foods that may be causing you problems. Don’t keep them in the house within reach. That, in itself,  is diet-suicide. Many women talk about needing to keep certain foods for their family. If your the grocery shopper and your the one who prepares the breakfasts, lunches and dinners than why not get everyone involved in healthier eating. The kids need to eat better, the hubby may be getting a “beer belly” Do it for the whole family. It's good for you, your weight loss and your family!

Prepare foods that they love and you can do without. Its easier.  If there is a big pan of lasagna and 5 cheese garlic toast on the table and you know you won’t be able to control the portions you eat than don’t make it.Your family will not suffer by not having lasagna. Make them something else that you  know you will have more control over. Your weight loss plan will thank you.
